Anyone know what the cause of this is? My wife's XD is having blower motor issues too and I want to fix it all at one time.

 

your heater control cable is broken you need a new one shouldn't cost you very much from the dealer

 

I had same problem. Mine was stuck on floor and 2 far side registers. I took off bezel and removed section where 3 ***** which control AC/heat are located.

Just put "HOW-TO REMOVE DASH FOR AMP WIRE" into the ScionLife search bar and look at that wonderful post on how to remove those pieces. They just pop right out.

One I removed bezel and **** I noticed that a dark cable with 3 ribs in it. Within each rib travels a wire. The center wire is screwed to the back of the AC/Heat know.

The two outer wires are connected by a small gold block of metal. Mine jumped off the ****. I placed the gold block into a slot on the back of the know (it is similar in shape to the block) then slowly wrapped the wires back on the know while turning the ****.

Now everything works great. Next is my RR ABS sensor is effed so I need to troubleshoot...best of luck to you
