First post here.. but I've been looking at this forum for a while.

I got my xD yesterday! It's Magnetic Gray Metallic. Yeah I know it's not the most popular color on this forum.. but it's what I wanted.. so . Went to the local Toyota/Scion dealer on Tuesday to see what they would give me for my trade-in, which was a 2000 Kia Sephia with 98,000 miles on it. That thing made noises one would not like to hear from the time one turned on the engine.. Dealer said if I buy a car by Friday, they would give me $950 for it.. which is more than I expected. On Wednesday, I got an email from the dealer saying that they were having a Black Friday special and so I would get a $500 American Express gift-card if I get it on Friday. I asked them what colors they had for the xD, and they had a MGM base automatic on the lot. Just what I wanted! I was looking for a base automatic with floormats.
After taxes, trade-in, registration and the gift-card, the xD end up being $16300 for me. Wrote a check for the amount and walked out a very very happy person. Just for kicks, I asked them what would my interest be if I financed it, and they said 6.44%.. even with my credit score of 780
I had been looking at Yaris before the xD, but xD was a lot more for a little more money. Also looked at Versa and Elantra but this 24 year old is very very happy with my ultimate decision and still in shock due to what I paid for it. I got the car for it's functionality more than it's looks, and will keep everything stock.. but man does it turn a few heads on the road. I have seen another xD on the road very very few times here in north NJ so it looks different from normal cars and demands attention.

6.44% is pretty good these days. I got 4.6% on my Golf a few years ago, but I wrecked my credit rating during some tough times trying to get my business off the ground. It's down around 639 now... so I'm probably looking at 13+%. Whoopie!

 

Oh, by the way... nice looking car! My magnetic gray xD should arrive at the end of December. I don't know how I'm going to make it!

 

Hope you bring it around to some shows next summer, we can always use a few more xD's

Some of us realize it's the best color! Seriously, though... Scion needs to offer more colors for the xD. I'd have taken silver, but I was coming from a silver 5-door car already, so I figured I needed something that looked at least a little different.

 

thats perfectly fine, a lot of tCs are bone stock that show up
