Default lowering and rims question

Im looking at lowering my 2008 xd between 1.5"-2", what springs would be good for it? Im on guam and the roads are kinda messed up :? so springs that can handle bumps and what not. And looking at 18" rims for it too what size rims and tires would work for the drop too. Thanks!

i was stationed in guam from 06-09 and i had 17s on my 08 xd with tanabe df210 springs. i never had issues with anything. also i knew alot of the other scion guys and they liked the tein stechs on their tc's. i also had a 97 honda accord and that was only 2 1/2-3 inches off the ground and i didnt have any issues with that car either. any more questions just hit me up. oh yeah just outta curiosity what color 08 do you have? i traded mine in before i left and have always wondered what happened with it. mine was super white with a shark fin

do you know the owner of it? cause i put an aftermarket gauge face in it and would be willing to buy it off them and send a stock gauge face to them

ordered them online. its way cheaper. takes a little while for shipping but the savings is worth it. i never bought anything from that store cause they either never had what i wanted or it cost way to much. most of the car places out there over price like crazy.

Would lowering them on stock parts be okay or would it put strain on certain parts and wear them down etc?
