I think they're trying to open up the aftermarket market.

Having to make that change on the factory line is not something Scion wants to do. It adds plenty of cost, but perhaps what is more important, it's quite the logistical problem.

No ih8civx, one. I'm with you Alex. But I think Scion needs to offer one as an option. The bB had a sunroof as an option. And the RS1 xA came with one from the factory. And besides the ones from the dealer cost like $2,000!

Hey guys. If you want, I saw on tv once someone got a sunroof from a different vehicle, cut out the shape of it in their roof, and just installed the sunroof and wired it up to a 12 volt power source. Honestly if you think about it, it shouldnt be that hard. Just take off the headliner, find a sunroof from a car, go look in the junkyard or online. Then trace the shape of hte sunroof ontop of the roof and use a jigsaw to cut it out. Then just install it. The sunroof comes with insulation so it doesnt leak. Just drop the sunroof in and secure it with the bracket from the inside.

Shouldnt cost you no more then the price of hte sunroof which would range in $50-100 tops. If you want ebay has pop up universal sunroofs.

Sounds so easy that anybody should be able to do it ;-)
Let us know how it goes.
