Default Multi Session MP3 CDs

Hi All,

I did a search and I found limited results, so I thought I'd ask. I just purchased a new xD and I love it so far. The only fault I've found is that it doesn't seem to play multi-session MP3 CDs, which I thought was really odd since I had a Pioneer in my last car and it read them just fine. Am I missing something? Is there a way to do this so I can add folders to a CD and have it recognize them? I'm totally confused by this. I use Nero and I close all the sessions, but I don't finalize the disc (obviously, so I can burn more at a later time).

Has anyone figured out a way to work this? Even the manual seems to have conflicting information. If there's a particular method to get this to work, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks all.

Argh. That's so lame. So there's no special way to get a multi session CD to work? No particular software that does it right? Are you seriously telling me out of all the cool things this car does, and all the nice things it has, the stereo can't read a multi session CD? I think the last time I had a problem with that was back in 1995 or something. Seriously. Very odd, especially from Pioneer, a company that knows what it's doing and does it well.

i've ran into a few that still have trouble reading multi-session discs. it might be your burning software (unless youre using Nero). get an ipod!! then you won't need the cds.

Pioneer may be silk screened on it.... doesn't mean it is a 100% pioneer. You want that kind of feature, you may have to go after market.
