Default My xD is famous!

So, some of you ight remember that I traded the xD in on a Subaru Outback. Well, I have been checking the dealership's website from time to time... And it appears that they haven't been able to sell it. It started out at about $14,500 and is down to $10,100 as of now. To help sell it, they made a video for the website. So, y'all can take a look at my xD (with trailer hitch still in place) at www.annapoliscars.net.

I think it's cool to see my old car an the big (oak, small) screen. I do feel a little bad that they haven't sold it yet.

Not surprised it hasn't sold.. I wouldn't buy a car like the xD that isn't rated for towing if it had a tow hitch on it.

This, they should pull that hitch off with the quickness.

Yes, it is totally the hitch that is keeping people from buying it. Because people who are shopping for a used economy car have a photographic memory of the tow rating of all cars. Oh, and just the US tow rating, because if they knew the Toyota tested rating was 1,600 pounds, then they'd be all over it. Fortunately, they are all going by the bean-counting, pencil-pushing US zero tow rating.

It doesn't matter if it's rated for towing or not... even if it is..
I would rather have the car that wasn't subjected to the rigors
and abuse of towing.. especially with so many unknowns on how
it was used and maintained by the previous owner...

take it easy this aint the honda forums lol

but mike does make a valid point. im sure you had ur car well kept but if i were to go to a used dealership and see a hitch that would question my thoughts of purchasing one. I wouldn't know who had it and what they have done to it. maybe it was gonna fail and decided to trade it in before it does. who knows

I used to visit the Honda forums.. My wife's car is an Accord..
I originally bought her the EX V6.. Nice car.. until you get to drive it for awhile.. They have the engine mounted too far over the front axle.. The thing is so nose heavy. it plows into turns and felt so unbalanced..
I posted my disliking for the car and they all thought I was troll or insane or an insane troll.. lol..
I ended up selling it and getting the EX-L 4-cyl.. A MUCH better driving car that feels nimble and can actually hold its own in turns.. It also pulls like a 6-cyl... not as sweet as the V6... but a much better overall driving car..
Sorry to go off topic here... just another example of how **** I am when it comes to cars..

The xD still hasn't sold. It's down to $9,811 now. I just don't think anybody is going to the Subaru dealership looking for a used cat that isn't a Subaru. Maybe I'm wrong.

Dealership... they're the TYC LED tails. I should have pulled them when I traded it in... but I didn't think about it in time. I ended up selling the originals to someone on this forum. They only had about 20 miles on them!

Nah... I think they gave me too much for my trade, actually. Turns out the xD was harder to sell than they thought! I got a fair price for the Outback. Still loving it at nearly 10,000 miles. Cant' wait for some snow... this weather has been crazy. It was 60 degrees the other day!
