I just purchased a used 2008 xD RS1, which came with just one key. I'm looking to buy another key online and have it cut at a locksmith. What is the difference between a MOZB41TG and a HYQ12BBY key. The owner's manual says the key is a MOZB41TG. I believe the MOZB41TG has a G chip in it. I thought the 2008 xD wasn't chipped. Will either key work? Besides starting the car I want the key to lock & unlock the doors. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like you're looking for a fob head key to lock & unlock with. I don't know the correct item number, sorry. 2 of my keys are fob head keys & do not have chips. The key making machines have a scanner on them that checks for chips these days. I've seen them at Ace Hardware & at Walmart in the last few weeks.
Does your existing key have a G stamped on the blade? Apparently this is important in choosing the correct key.

Thanks for the reply. I finally found a MOZB41TG listed without a chip. My original key doesn't have a "G" stamped on metal part that gets cut. So I ordered one, plus one that is just a shell. I plan to take the inners out of the original key and transfer them into the new shell. The original plastic is pretty worn so I wanted to replace it.
