The g/f and I went out looking for a new car, and sadly, since I bought my box in 2005, once again nothing has changed, and NOT ONE American car fit the bill. That is truly sad. Every domestic car is out of the running. But the xD is now the front runner.

A couple words of advise:
1)Times are tough out there. DO NOT walk into a Chevy dealership. They will not let you leave without buying something.......anything !!! They are like vultures.

2) The Fit is a heck of a car, and if VSC was offered as a stand alone option, instead of part of the $2000 Nav Package, she would have bought one.

3) The Cube will be a hit, I think. It comes with all the safety options as standard equipment. And at a great price close to the xD. Too bad Nissan dropped the ball as usual, and delayed the first Cube to hit the market until the first of May. At least that is what the sales-liar-man said. If it was out now, she might have got one.

And finally:
The xD is a HELL of a nice car !! No other car we looked at gives you more for the money than the xD. Yes, we could spend $25,000 and up and get a great car, but no other car in this price range offers more than the xD does. If the Cube was out.......... I wonder?

My questions:
She really liked the Release 1.0. The sales-liar-man said that no 1.0's were, or are, available with auto and VSC. Is this true? Does anyone have VSC in their 1.0 ?

Is there a series 2.0 planned and when?

The 4 switch cut-out down near the E brake? What are they for? One is for VSC, I think.

Yes there will be a 2.0. The RS's come out at the end of each model year. Expect to see the 2.0 around June/July time. You wont have to worry about VSC in a car after 2011. ALL cars will have them in every car.

In our region last year, I didnt see one with VSC offered and that includes Denver region as well.

RS = Means the transformation to the next model year.....

vsc is hard to come by period, so on a rs would be even rarer if thats even a word lol Yea around March/April theyll cut down of manufacturing the 09 models. RS 2 should be released june-ish and is the official cut off of that years model. august will be the start of 2010s

 

As it has been mentioned, VSC is an available option for the xD, whether or not its a Release series. You will have to get a good salesman who will be willing to search one out for you. Yes they exist, but it is likely there will not be one on the lot when you go.
