Default new tester for xd spare tire mounted sub

i am currently making a sub box that fits inside the spare tire of te xa/xb/yaris. I am also trying to get a tester for a xb2 as well. I am looking for someone willing to work with me to produce one of these that fit the xd.

anyone have api of theire spare or how it sits in there, also, does it use the xa spare, if so, im done, if not, i need someone to help me out.

If you are located in okc, if i cna use your spare as a mold, i will give you a box at cost.

If you want to test, but aer not local, i can talk you through making a foam mold of the area, and if you make it and mail it to me, ill make you a box for free,

the box would be similar to the ones in this post.

Wow that is really cool! So you just want a picture of the tire and how it's lying there right? Not sure about the size of the spare but I have my handy bf with me and I can take a picture and get measurements for you My bf is offering a CAD drawing if you want. I guess he's bored or really interested in this too haha.

But you'd still have room for stuff in the back! lol Thats realy important to me. If that thing can put out well for xBs then I'd really want one for my xD.

i would love a cad drawing, but im not sure i could make it fit off that. Currently my xb box has almost .4 cubic feet air space with just over 4" mouning depth. I fit the ED sq10, ED K7, the pioneer flat 8" and 10", and the JL 6W0. Like i sadi, if someone is interested in a really cheap one, the material to make a mold cost about 40$, then ship it t me, and ill ship back a box. Pics would be great first, as it might be the same spare as the xb. Is it the same bolt pattern?

Why don't you just make a box that fits in the foam tray above the spare tire?

well, i went to the dealer to look at the xd. Looks like a sub mounted spare like a make wont fit, however, it looks like i could make a really nice box and amp rack that fits there the foam goes and still use the stock cover, maybe even still have a storage cubby. If any one in close enough to okc to want to try this, i would do it all for free if you bought materials. I have access to mdf and a CNC, so just fiberglass if needed.

Thanks for doing this. I have a small powered sub under the passenger seat right now until somebody can come out with a stealth solution that keeps the spare tire.

I think a box like the one in your link is totally possible in the new xB. If you flip the spare tire over you'll have the same amount of room plus the 2-3" that the foam storage tray offers.

BTW, the bolt pattern for the wheels are 5x114.3.

Looking forward to what you can do.

yeah, i think the xb2 will work , asn i am working with someone to test one, but if anyone else to help test pm me. The xd poses a problem as it looks like th spare is on an agle and has all that foam. I really need a car to take aprt and look at. maybe i could rent one for a day fro a car rental place?
