Finally got a hold of my ....... MG xD after a 2 month wait

couple of questions

1) i see dunlop sport 5000's on mine, i always thought 7000's or some bridgestone tires came with. T/F?

2) anybody could give me a link to a dyi to the cabin air filter? (i think zoltiz did a tutorial way back then.. yeah been lurking around the forums)

3) what do you use to clean the interior of your car?

4) i know i could find out on my own. BUT it would be nice to know whats the recommended psi for the wheels

Congrats on the new xD...

Question #1: Mine came with the Bridgestones...

Question #2: Can't help with this one, have not done this yet...

Question #3: If your talking about about the dash, door panels etc, I use a lightly
water damped micro fiber towel...It works awesome because the door
panels seem to mark up rather easily...

any of the interior wipes are good for cleaning interior, i hear armorall works best. but the microfiber with water actually seems smarter...haha, cheaper in the long run recommended psi is in the door jam, think its 31 front and rear?

Recomended PSI should be embossed on the tire, and 31 is wrong (at least in my case), my PSI is 44 on the stock rubber i got.

I will be creating a thread about my stock tires VERY soon. You'll see.

Lost... lookin forward to see ya 'round B-Lo. WOOT on the new ride!

tire manufacturers have different ratings for their tires than the auto manufacturers use. tire manufacturers post the absolute maximum psi aloud for their product, while auto manufacturers use the proper psi which supports weight, load, weight transition, friction, speed, etc. but yeah, i checked the manual/door jamb, and its 32 psi. blow yours up to 44 and you could risk popping the tires quick...

Why not go in between the psi on the door and the one on the tire? I find going up to 35/36 in my Nitto NeoGens feels much better than the 32 on the door. :?

since you have a different set of tires, the PSI rating will be different. if youre not running stock tires, its best to ask your tire dealer what psi is proper for your application..each tire is different, the fact that you need to use a higher PSI makes sense, and depending on the tire, it might make sense to use a lower PSI...its all about application. since these are stockers, its best to go by Toyota's decision of 32

DYI cabin filter: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=220713
It's easy and I recommend to buy the one from http://www.trdsparks.com/index.php. I bought 2 and probably will buy a couple more just to have on hand. It was very easy to put in. Sorry.. I didn't take any pics.

I just checked the manual, step by step instructions on pp 143-145.

I use a dry dust cloth (like swiffer) on the dash. No chemicals or liquid stuff.

I put 35 psi in the stock dunlops.

Hope that helps.
