Default Open up the gauge panel?

I want to modify the speed meter display on my Scion, because it only shows even numbers at every 20 intervals. I want to mark the 30, and 70 location, because it's the speed limit for some of my local and highway speed, and in my old car's speed meter, there is like a thicker line for the odd number 10, 30, 50. So I just want to add like a marker thing on those spots.

But I don't know how to open up the gauge panel. Anyone knows roughly how to open it up so I can reach the speed meter?

Just grab both of the dividers that separate the speedo area from the outer gauge area (where the fuel display is and where the odometer is) and PULL! It'll pop right out. Move your steering wheel to the lowest position first.

Thanks a ton, I pull the dividers out, yank, and it came off easily. Then I manage to figure out how to get to the gauge. After an hour of experiment, I figure the only way to mark the odd number speed interval was to add a colored transparent tape behind the gauge sticker (I found a red stripe sticker leftover from my Bandai robot model kit). I cut a tiny red long stripes out, and basically stick them to tint the odd number speed intervals. Now when I turn on the car, the odd numbers are red tinted.

Now I no longer have to look as hard as before for my speed.

Thanks!
