i was looking for specialty items for my scion xD - it's newish and I like to personalize my driving environment lol - i was looking at some site with things like decorative valve caps and other inexpensive ways to make my car mine. i think it was that site that gave me my latest computer virus, actually - it happens to my crappy old pc from time to time. i ended up giving in and paying for this service subscription called LiveTech to help me - it's a little pricey but it sounded like a good choice from this article I saw in PC MAG: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2372447,00.asp

Well, you can start by taking out the stock lightbulbs and put some silverstars, put some foglights.

 

if you know what you want done, it's really not too bad. Take it slow and plan out what you want to do to your car. Then go from there.

There are a lot of things that are DIY's. For instance, I wanted a black rear bumper applique but Scion only sells the clear ones. Took me a lot of templates and asking around and such but I finally got my hands on a template and made my own.

Yeah, take your time building up your car, it could happen you quickly spend a lot of money without as much reward as you thought it would be.

Concerning this LiveTech service in the PC Mag article, it looks useful if you don't know much about computers and want quick answers to normal issues. I know someone I would like to give it to ;-)
