I'm kinda thinking about getting it, but don't really need it. Had a TRD one that I sold. My other moneypit takes precedence now as far as mods go.

This isn't rocket science - to CNC a block of aluminum doesn't require a degree anymore.

NST may be a great supporter, but they sell pulleys and machined aluminum. I'm not impressed with their engineering bench. If they showed a bit more expertise, I would consider them a player and might order a higher priced part based on trust or mystique. Pulleys? c'mon - that stuff was tossed by serious tuners YEARS ago. Where is the innovation? Where are the dynos? Where are the other products? Pulleys? c'mon!...

That said, in this case, a short shifter is a short shifter (don't try to argue otherwise!!!)

Everyone - TRD / NST / PIGGIES is reselling or producing the same part.

I wont buy the TRD for the price. Comparing NST and Piggies... I think the name "piggies" is an awful business name (NST is clearly superior). The part is exactly the same however and I will spend it at piggies.

 

im not really sure how the name of a business has anything to do with the quality of its product...

i also dont think this thread is about the quality of NST's pulley kits and/or other products. and if you actually looked at their site, you would notice they make quite a bit more than just pulley kits. perhaps you should be thankful we have ANY aftermarket support, and if you dont like it, go manufacture your own parts.

 

Sounds like a salesman, jump on scionlife for a couple of posts, most of which talk crap about NST *LOL* Ordered my NST short shifter yesterday with a set of shifter bushings for my xD. Cannit wait NST makes stellar product period & it is very well engineered. I have used NST products for over 5+ years now. They also STAND by the product they produce & will continue to be around for many years to come, not just some retarded named ebay company.

And if you looked around in the real world you would see how much NST supports race teams, communities & forums like this were they work with customers & design parts that people are asking for. Now by all means go buy a piggy product from ebay *LOL* Be proud of it hahaha. After all it is the same in your eyes right?

Also your logic is 100% flawled, just because people make things or produce them & they look sorta the same does not mean they are the same period. What you think all the short shift kits are made by the same people? *LOL* Wow.. And to think they are all identicle?? Wow...

There are many ways to design or improve a part which is what NST has done over the years with the pulleys they sell & also with tons of other parts they produce. If you think all pulley kits are the same *LOL* Think again. That is why NST is about the only manufacturer still going strong in the pulley business. They do not make crap that cracks & does not align worth a turd. Only pulleys I will use on my cars period.



I do not care who you buy a pulley set from but I say go with NST.

- Have stellar products
- Active in our community
- great customer service


& do not pull BS in the adds on ebay to get sales. ever notice how many piggy adds get removed from ebay for violations?? *LOL* I just checked, even the one above was removed haha.

if your sponsered then they are free... unless you just like stickers on your stuff and say your sponsored.... when i used to race bikes i never bought any parts. from grips to forks to chains all was free.

I think perhaps the point is being missed here.

Yes, they can get free parts from almost ANY company they want. All they have to do is say who they are. The POINT is that they have chosen NST over all the other available options on the market. Why do they consistently choose one option out of a sea of available options? That should speak volumes.

 

They re-sell pulleys and blocks of aluminum.

I see this odd love-fest and it creeps me out a bit.
