Default Question about oil change intervals

Okay, I know the first recommended service and oil change is at 5K miles, and that it's compliments of Scion. But am I crazy to want to change the oil right after the 1K mile break-in?

Would there be a benefit to get it that soon over waiting for 5k?

When in doubt, change the oil, I guess. Gasoline is still the cheapest thing we put in our cars.

hXcdi3hard's comments make sense- I'll see what the service center says and report back- our xD is nearing the end of its break-in.
