so much for an rs 3.0?
Its almost August which is xD's respawn month and I haven't seen a hint or whisper of a RS 3.0 package for the xD. I guess Scion is giving up on the xD or maybe the RS series altogether? Kind of a let down
Uhm, well it seemed like he shared that info freely, but that it was still unofficial so it was no biggie, and never said not to mention his name. It seems that it doesn't matter anyways, but I edited.

Too bad sales for the xD are not good, they are really good cars for the money.
This may sell to the younger crowd, but it isn't a good way to be taken seriously. The original xB sold on its looks. The tC is an affordable, good-looking sporty car. The xA/xD don't really have much to stand on. They are not popular with modders, like the commercials would have you believe... and they don't push any of the other features.
Don't get me wrong, I think the xD is a decent car for the money. It met all of my needs, and I think it looks nice. However, it is almost completely unknown to the general public. I don't think this is because it is new... it is because it is not well advertised.
Now, Toyota may have a good reason for not wanting to sell a lot of them. Maybe they are not as profitable as a Corolla or Matrix. I'm not making that claim, but they might have other reasons for rebadging the ist as a Scion and treating it as such. I just think that if they wanted to sell more of them, there would be a better way.
Scion did lose their marketing guy to Ford, who is now working on the Ford Flex advertisements.
Back in 2007 when I walked on a Toyota/Scion lot in my area to look with my ex at a tC I saw the xD and immediately fell in love. Never saw any commercials on tv for it, still don't. Why they don't promote this brand they way they should I have no idea. As far as I know the Scions haven't been plagued with recalls like Toyota's and Lexus' have been so they should pump this brand up more than their new Sienna "swagger wagon".

I always thought a Coffee Color would look awesome, with a light tan leather interior. Yeah I know it sounds like grandma's car, but with the right touches it would look like chocolate chip cookies. Its going to be awesome.
Their are plans for an RS 3.0 xD, likely to be released in October. The color is a metallic brown with gold flake. In the sun it looks hot, in the shade it looks brown ...
The name being kicked around is XPresso ...

wouldnt that be the torched penny color from one of the previous xB R.S. ?
No the RS color was multicolored pearl, this is simply a brown with gold flake. Last time I saw this color that I remember was an old corolla wagon, otherwise it may be an available color for the current Venza as well. Not sure ..
^ See this is why I am glad I didn't get another xD. The special colors Scion has been churning out are terrible and not at all special. They did it right on the first RS xD, but the second is bland and this third one sounds worse.
Brown with a gold flake? Whoop-de-do. The Venza is offered in a brown paint color with a gold flake, it doesn't look that good at all.
