We test drove one months ago some time early last year and liked it... but the numbers didn't really work in our favor - mostly b/c she still owed too much on her Neon. Things are a little better now and with Scion upping their College Grad program rebate to $1000 and her Neon being paid down a bit more, it worked out a little bit better this time.

She's getting an 2009, SSM, with 2 miles on it. She did a tiny bit of paperwork tonight as they closed... but we have to wait for a call tomorrow to hopefully go pick it up.

What's nice is she's already been to a couple Scion events and really likes both the car and the "community" part of Scion. What's better is that now we have two Scions in the family, though oddly enough both SSM.

I doubt we'll be doing much to it yet... but eventually maybe a few mods and she may even autox it (she did autox the Neon a few times).

So there you have it... thought I'd share. Maybe I can get her to register here and say hi... she's not really a "forum" kind of person though, so we'll see.

My g/f and I did the same thing. Welcome to the club you two!!

She loves hers. She wanted the VSC so hers had 135 miles on it. Her first mod's were the overhead console, arm rest, and 20 LED dome light from oznium. And let's not forget the cabin air filter.

future grats on the xD. I actually just traded the wife's 04 Neon SXT for my own xD. She didn't mind, she got the 5-door Yaris she wanted.

Haven't done the community events yet, myself, but I hope to the next time some roll around in this area.

So we dropped off the rest of the papers today and he said that the guy that approves the college grad stuff for TFS/Scion at their dealer wasn't there today (not sure why). So she's going to have to get it on Monday... probably around noon.

 

sounds like some BS to me. over here ANY of our finance people can do that......

 

Ya, it seemed a bit shady just because it sounded odd, but the guy was cool and there's no reason for us to push it, so we'll just make sure everything goes smoothly on Monday.
