Default Stability Control now standard?

It's listed on one the Build your Scion page as standard equipment, but isn't mentioned anywhere else...

"Safety Features
First Aid Kit
Driver & Passenger Front Airbags
Side and Side Curtain Airbags
Anti-lock Brakes
Vehicle Stability Control
3-Across Rear Head Rests
Tire Pressure Monitoring System"

Awesome to me (even on a car as small as this, Stability Control will come in handy at one point or another), but its odd that this isn't blasted everywhere. Isn't this the only subcombact with this feature, especially as standard equipment?

Probably a typo, but I would not mind to have it free on my car... The auto xD I played with yesterday did not have the stability control button, so I'd stick to "typo" for now.

there's not an option for it on the build site, though... that's odd. they aren't going to get rid of it, do you think?

Looks like still an option.

If you go to one of the SET Scion sites (e.g. http://www.conyersscion.com/Scion-Inventory.aspx) and pick let's say a silver automatic xD - there are only 6 left if you pick Stability Control from the options list.

I believe that it will be required in a year or two as standard equipment. I saw a demonstration at the Backstage event on how it works---it is really amazing. I have it standard on my box and would recommend it as a safety device.

When I went for my test drive, I asked if stability control was standard seeing it as such at scion.com but not listed on the window sticker. My local dealership seemed confused by this as well. While doing a search they saw some xDs listed with VS and others without -- the price difference was $650 USD in addition to the listed base. So it seems it is still the only factory installed option.
