Default Subwoofer opinions

Hi all. I'm new at this whole modding thing and am trying to start out small. My first step is finding a decent Subwoofer for my new xD. Again, I'm new at this, and am just hoping for some more expert opinions.

I'm looking into this Subwoofer at the moment: http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4188009
Good? Bad? Maybe someone has an idea for a cheaper but more effective system?

Cheaper - probably not.

I have an old school EL8A bazooka and used an OEM Scion harness to hook it up - takes about 10 minutes to run the wiring and is very easy to take out of the car if you need cargo space. Works for me, but I'm not one of the "rock the neighborhood" kind of people.

Where did you get the harness? What is the part #?

bazookas are great if you are an average listener who wants some deeper bass, but if you are really into sound quality, you might find them a bit lacking. they are great for their intended audience, though.

if you aren't willing to 'sacrifice' cargo space for a "real" sub, i'd say stick with the bazooka. it won't hit extremely deep, but it should satisfy.

Harness part number: PTS20-52040-WH

Another bazooka that should work with that harness: CS8A
