Tanabe USA is currently looking to R&D the new 2008 Scion xD for the following parts:

-Chassis
-Suspension (springs)
-Exhaust

We are looking for a few Scionlife members who would be interested in donating their cars for this R&D proccess. If you are interested please read below to see if you are qualified and follow the directions. Donaters will recieve compensation for their time in the form of parts.

Requirements:
1. Car must be completely stock with no prior accidents.
2. Must be a Southern California resident (Sorry guys)
3. Must be able to leave vehicle at Tanabe USA, in Torrance CA for 2 days.
4. Must be avalible to drop of the car in September (exact date has not yet been determined)

Oh man!!! I hope someone jumps on this quick!!! I wanna see some modding options for our cars!!!

Yeah Im supprised. This is a great opportunity to get some free parts and also pave the way for some modding options for the XD crowd.

 

If I lived in CA I would be all over this...unfortunately I'm all the way over in GA

What do you mean, when you say south??? Isn't Torrance in the LA area???

 

LA and lower is in Southern California. Torrance therefore is in SoCal.

It might be fun to do this actually but I don't know if I could live without my car for two days. Plus what if you don't like what they do..?

Two days for Free parts isnt such a bad deal. And there is no harm that is done to the vehicle. The vehicle is simply used to take data and test fit for R&D purposes.

You guys should have really posted this a couple weeks ago when the car first came out. I had an xD sitting at my house for 2 weeks not doing anything. Just a couple weeks ago i took it up to Seattle and now it is doing nothing up there. I guess i missed out.

 

why the hell was it in ur driveway doin nothin?

get ur ___ back up there and give it to them.

 

It was sitting in my garage because i have an IS300 for Southern California which i use 5 months of the year and then the other 7 i have the xD for Seattle. Now the car is in Seattle till the end of this month

hey any chance of making some 5x100 vienna's and i may just have to buy one and ship it up there. hehehehe. how can no one jump on this!!!! shoot's i'd buy the car already just for this opportunity. tanabe you folks need to set up a shop down in hawaii and then i'll run out and buy an xd just for you folks to R&D.
