^ same with gen 1 xB's. I remember in 2005 when I wanted an xB, used ones were going for about 13-15k. I bought mine brand new - 1 mile on the odometer - for $16,700 after taxes. i paid exactly what the website said and tax on top of that. i remember the only option i got on the car was an automatic tranny! lolol
the arm rest, floor mats, rear cargo net i got from a website online, I saved like 40% easily.
if you are set on buying used for whatever reason, i would get a list of the 5 or 10 scion dealers closest to you and would call them maybe once every week or two to ask if they have one in stock.
you can do that or you can use autotrader.com to find your used car. you can filter by color, transmission type, new or used, etc.
those two options are your best bet.

well my fiance wants me to keep it. i wish i hadnt bought it but its ok... i have a 70 bronco i restored i had a vey nice 4runner but my brother wanted it so i traded it for a jeep(trail rig, dog hauler, camping mobile) that she loves also and the scion. so 3 cars that are mine... i wish i had gotten an f350 or 3500 dodge instead but the great gas mileage and cheap scion won that battle... but now i got another raise so i can afford a big ___ truck... o well.....
They normally use public transportation and that their public transportation works very very well! Plus you can practically walk to the places you need to go. Here in the states if you don't live in a big city, or a well planned/operated city, you basically need a car to get to the grocery store. It sucks but yea, we don't have it as bad as other countries.
