What else do I need?
For my 09 xD.. I purchased and installed:
armrest
floor mats
cargo net
cabin air filter (there wasn't one in there?)
oil filters (10 for $38 )
engine air filter
I want to buy and install the OEM blue tooth setup.. Has anyone else
installed this? It looks fairly easy to do.. Anyone have this.. would like to know how well it works..
Any other suggestions? I have stock wheels and will probably leave it that way..
Do I need the bumper guard thing that sticks on and protects the bumper..
thanks for the input!

lol the'yre jealous he has a corvette thats all
Toyota sells a blue tooth setup straight from dealer. If you wanna go all out, you can research and get the Japanese set up that includes buttons on the steering wheel to pick up and drop calls
It seems ur goal is looks and comfort in the interior for the most part, so I would invest in maybe some Rainguards and a Broadway Mirror. I've also wanted a decklid in the rear for a while but never seem to remember to pick one up. Was kinda annoyed when I bought the car to find it doesnt come stock along with the cabin filter

I find the arm-rest quite useful as well as a cargo net.. also the floor mats helped keep some noise down..
but hey.. I digress..

Welcome to the support group for the lonely Scion.
Lose the OEM tires like a bad cold: The size is weird, and I'm guessing that since you have a Vette, you'd like something with a little more grip and handling prowess...or maybe just sick of hearing the tires yelp every time you make a U-turn?
My car came with the factory mats, and I've rubbed a hole in the driver's mat just below the clutch pedal after 10,000 miles. Some Toyotas/Lexuses have a more durable section by the pedals, but not this one. On the other hand, I don't like rubber mats...I don't want to see all the junk I've collected in them, and it's more work to clean out. I also live in a climate with no snow and almost no mud, just rain and sun (I don't like the sound of squeaking mats, either). You might say I'm really picky about my mats, so I suppose that's about right.
Otherwise, I haven't caught the tuning/modding/destroying bug yet.

If you're looking for options, take a look at TRDSparks.com. things I like: clazzio pvc/pvc seat covers, trd short shifter, HID kit, leather shift boot( stock is hard to keep clean), some mild tint, rear sway bar, some sporty springs( car sits way to high, bad body roll). If you need more ideas, let me know. I've sunk 5 grand into this thing in the 2 years I've had it...

maybe some tweaks here and there..
I bought the car to be practical and inexpensive to own and operate..
I don't mod much anymore.. gettin old I guess..
This car is fun to drive.. I haven't "pushed" it yet to see what it can do in the turns.. It's nimble and quick enough to zip in traffic..

I like the stock height.. It's nice to sit up in traffic.. but a rear sway
bar might be a good option.. will see.
Thanks.. I have not yet looked at any non-OEM accessories.. Not sure I will go there.. I don't really plan on exploring the performance aspect of the car..

I've owned the car for 8 months so far and have since installed: factory buletooth, aftermarket leather shift/e-brake boots, alpine upgraded radio, under-seat sub, rear sway bar, short shifter, performance muffler exhaust and an hps short-ram air intake. In the works are clazzio leather seat covers with front seat heating elements, trd springs, and hid headlights. I think that might be it though. After all....I'm not really the modding type either.

The rear deck is a pain. I bought one from TRD Sparks before i even took my car home. There is a gap between the seat backs and the deck lid unless you lean the rear seats all the way back. It also falls off easily. I ended up taking it off so many times to make room for taller cargo that I finally ended up leaving it off.
I agree that the stock floor mats wear too easily, but I don't trust after market ones, either. I will just replace my OEM ones with new OEM ones whe. They look bad enough.
The short shift kit is a must if you have a 5-speed. It is too sloppy without it.
I would leave the stock springs and shocks. I got the TRD setup and have regretted it from day one. It costs mor to go back to stock ones than it cost to add the TRD setup. It is just too harsh of a ride for me. My wife hates it, too. Now her 10 year old Civic feels like a Cadillac to me.
My favorite add-on is my trailer hitch. I just drove about 300 miles with a 1,000 pound trailer and the MPG display says 47.0 MPG (which is probably more like 45 MPG). That was with the wife, the baby, and the trunk and rear seat FULL of stuff, too.
