Yeah I hear ya. But that's a cheap mod. Only cost ya a can of paint. Try painting them Body Color. I think that'd look sweet!

I actually may try that on mine. I have Super White XD. also stock. for the next few weeks at least.

The whole concept of "Rice" seems pointless to me. Honestly I think you should do what you want, and if others don't like it who cares. Modding is about making the car your own not about pleasing other people.

One man's Rice is another man's gold it's all very open to interpretation. IMO

 

try altering the upper grill area instead of the funky 70s circle designs

The only thing that matters is that the owner of the vehicle likes it. like I said before modding isn't about pleasing other people, Who are you to say what mods are right or wrong for someone else?

Personally I like the custom look that's more of a subtle thing, a "This car should come this way from the factory." look.

I've actually been thinking of ways to alter the grill. but taking out the factory one and replacing it with some wire mesh (the most common approach it seems) will look like a$$ IMO, and I'm not a fan of the Billet grill look. What I'm thinking will take some R&D and likely cost some serious $$$.

 

Lowering springs can be an inexpensive mod if you can do the work yourself or have a friend or two to help. They do wonders to the look of the XD.

Are you mostly looking for mods to make it look cool, or performance/handling/feel type mods?
My xD has the TRD rear sway bar, NST shift bushings, and the NST underdrive pulley. IMO all are worthwhile upgrades, and make the car "feel" better to drive, but none are visible from the outside (unless you're really looking). I also really like the IST armrest - increases comfort and interior storage, but again, not visible from the outside, and this one obviously won't make you any faster or cooler. Finally, I spent about $35 on some home-brew LED "fog lights" - they're certainly not bright enough to be headlight replacements, but they make me a little more visible to other drivers, which is especially appreciated given the lack of automatic headlights in the xd.
Are these the kind of mods you had in mind? None of them are too expensive...

I took my rear wiper off cuz I never use it and I have signage on the back. The plug I used? lol....its one of those little plugs you get when you buy the spectre intake tube with the holes in it.
