Whats you fav car wax product?
Well, I'd like to know, too! But I can tell you the name of a product that has disappointed me a couple times- Mother's.
First time was just their carbuna (sp) wax- it left awful streaks on a really nice car.
Second time was their cleaner/wax- didn't leave swirl marks, but didn't clean well either.

Meguiars. The three step system is the best for the money. If you have a new xD get a megs claybar kit and then use the three step and you won't be dissapointed, your car will look better than new.
I have some meguiar's stuff but its not their wax. Just this morning I waxed half of the car (I got tired
) with Black Magic and a pad I had bought from Target. It seemed to work fine.
How can you tell if the wax is bad or good?

If you are going to go with the meguires thing, then i would recomend the Hi tec Yellow wax. It is a paste so it might be a little more work, but i find it well worth it. It smells good too. Also i wouldn't recomend doing the clay bar just yet. I don't feel like there would be enough oxidation on a brand new car to use it. Many times the clay bar can put minor swirl or scratch marks into the paint when it gets dirty. I just put a coat of hi-tec yellow and its been really good to me. What i love about it is after 5 washes the car still feels as though i had just waxed it.
I also would recomend NXT wax that they use. As far as i've seen its use it's lasted a long time. The feel that you get right when you wax it goes away after a couple washes but the protection of the wax is there. For a few monthes water would still bead up on some of the cars i've done.
Good luck with your choice

Right on with the Meguiars!! I use it on all of my cars.
1. Simple Green Car Wash (twice to be safe)
2. California Water Blade / Microfiber Cloths
3. Meguiars Paint Prep / Microfiber wax pad
4. Meguiars Polish / Microfiber wax pad
5. Meguiars NXT Wax Paste / Included wax pad
6. Well-deserved break!!
7. California Car Duster (every other day or so).
The xA's paint looks spectacular. It looks 3-4x better than how it did new, it has depth now!! Water drops bead up like mad, and even with the nasty, dirty rain we get here, hardly any water marks. After a few washes the wax is still holding. After waxing, using the California Duster gets 90-95% of all and any dirt off the paint.
Man, talk about an arm work-out, though. The Solara came out looking slightly better, but it's hard to add depth to white. My old 300zx took some extra steps, but that 21-year-old paint looks about 5 years old now. If you really care about keeping your car looking nice, this is the way to go. Make sure to read the labels and keep the paint cleaner / polish off of everything but paint. The wax actually helps the plastic on the xA, gives it that nice "wet" look and won't harm anything (I put it on the big black window trim, rear whiper arm, and front air dam under whiper arms).
You shouldn't need to clay-bar until the paint is at least 2-3 years old, unless you are just absolutely crazy about keeping your car clean. Oxidation shouldn't be bad enough to require it, yet.
