Hey guys, so officially I will be looking to purchase a new xA in early to mid September. The problem i was considering is that the xD is supposed to be released in August so i was wondering if that means that most dealers will stop selling the xA right then? I won't be able to purchase one now as i am a college student in WA and staying home in SoCAL for the summer. So i won't be able to buy a xA till i get back up to WA for school. Anyways if you guys would let me know whether i would be able to find a new one around mid sept? Oh by the please don't flame me i was searching a bit but couldn't really find anything useful.

I have a friend that goes to UW, along with her friend, her brother and his girlfriend.

In any case, I was just wondering because maybe you could call a dealership in the area and see if anybody knows if they will have any or if they could spend some time looking for one.. as it would get them a sale and all. *shrugs* Just an idea.

 

Dealerships will only have them then, if there are any left over. As of now, only 1 dealership out of my 3 local ones, have an xA's. They have 2 RS3.0 and 2 regulars. Haven't seen one anywhere else. But, none of them have any 06' xB's left already.

Wow that is not good news for me then. I might not be able to get myself an xA and dang it i find the xD to be gross. Just nasty. Looks terrible in my opinion.

I was talking to my regional rep last weekend, and he shows that there are roughly 60 or so xAs in this area. But those numbers are going down at a rapid pace.

Trying to find a car that isnt made any more in a specifc color, with a specific interior and a specific tranny ... man your asking a lot.

 

I was originally looking for an xA with a Manual. They are pretty much impossible to find in Texas. Plenty of automatics out there still, but no Manuals. So I decided I would just wait for an xD and buy one of those in August or September. The bigger engine sounds nice anyway.

 

If you wanted a yellow, or white, or blue interior yes, but seeing as how all xA's came in the black interior..........

 

The clock is ticking... Best start hunting if you want a certain color and trans. Also, be prepaired to travel in the quest for what you want. It's worth it in the end. Good Luck!

 

A few days ago my dealer still had 4 xA's left; oddly enough , all 4 were RS3 editions!

 

Thanks for your guys help. I've decided to say screw it and i'm now going to be getting an xD. I'm always stuck in some kind of pickle however. Because i need the car before Aug 20th now. The dealerships around here haven't gotten any yet. Hopefully i'll pick one up soon. O and as far as it being a manual, it doesn't seem likely. My mom wants to drive my car when shes up in Seattle

 

Well they stopped production of the xA back in December, so its been downhill for awhile getting a brand spanking new xA. Ur local dealer might be able to track one down n swap something from another dealer. Actually if u ever considered a Yaris ur in good luck since ur up there in WA. Hop the boarder n buy a 5Door yaris, same damn thing as an xA/xD. I lucked out and got a really good deal on a barely used xA, or else that was my backup plan.

 

I am in the Portland Region (same as Seattle) and we are getting xDs now. Give Victor at Lake City a call. They are a great dealer to work with in Seattle, located not too far from UW. I am sure he has xDs coming in. Their phone # is 206.366.3100.

Oh, so she is buying it for you? Otherwise get your stick. You don't really want anyone else to drive it anyways. Plus you will have to live with the choice so think real hard about getting something for someone that will only drive it occasionally.
Heck if she can't drive it just get her a rental when she comes to visit with the money you saved by getting the stick. 800 bucks will pay for alot of rentals.
