Did some digging, the AWD ist is only available in the 1.5L and only in an auto tranny. Bummer.

Somthing NEAT is it looks like Japan gets a 6 speed with the 1.8L as an option!

I did come across this site and it had an interesting possible mod, take a look at the digital HVAC gauges! Very cool. Look at the interior shots of it.

Also I read on a site that gave specs for the last gen ist. It CAME with rear disk brakes. No idea on the current 08 IST.

I did see a cutaway of our 2rzfe engines, looked nice. Pistons had thick ring lands which was a suprise, rods looked as expected... Hard to really tell without having them in hand.

The motor does look to be a long stroke design, block is very tall.

Ed from Peruzzi is going to Japan next month for something Scion related. He's gonna have his eyes peeled for me. I'm highly curious about the JDM front bumper..and the fog lights to go with it as well as the HVAC controls.

 

oh that looks so good, but that'll probably later mod for me. since i'm already paying 2 arms, and 4 legs to get stuff in from japan for the xd.

 

I'm still waiting for C-One to come out with something, they have a kit for the xB2 already ( stupid box gets all the love )

 

i am on the 1st gen ist (xA) here...hmmm it never came with rear disc brakes as far as i know.... diggin the 2nd gen ist (xD) now....

How so? Manual hvac to electronic, a little more complex than average.

i have the cool digital HVAC controls!!..of cos...mine the ist..heheh.. its swell..it cools the cabin real fast and gets u chilled to the bones...

one question...the front cabin lights doesnt have the "door" selection?? i mean when u open ur doors i want the front cabin lights to be switched on. its just either push "on" or push "off"...xDs the same?
