Default Alignment question

I just went to get my car aligned and the guy told me with aftermarket shim my car will always pull and can't be aligned. Is this true?

We're going to need a little mmore info than that. What "shim" are you talking about? If you're talking about wheel spacers, that's not true. If you're talking about 0 degree hub spacers in the rear, that's not true. If you're talking about that the actual shims (red rings) that are available for your rear hubs, you only need them if there's something wrong with your rear alignment already (tweeked from accident for example).

That's what I thought. I mean I've had it aligned a few times. What he's telling me is that my car will continue to Pull to the left with a shim kit ( his words) installed which they don't make for the xD. I understand that wheel spacers make the wheel stick further out so It doesn't rub. Rear alignment is fine on the car and realistically the pull is very little but I want it fixed.

They make a shim kit for your rear hubs, and camber bolts for your front suspension. If you're car is pulling to the left, thats usually a toe in/out problem as I understand it. I believe you adjust the tie rods to fix that.

no one will be able to give you advise without seeing your alignment report.
