New 2012 Purchase and lower control arm issue
Hi Everyone,
I just purchased a 2012 Scion XD with 1700 miles on it. It was a lease car previously for a short period. When I purchased it I did not see that onbe tire was mounted and balanced and a four wheel alignment performed. Lower control arm (s) replaced. I have just driven a couple of hundred miles and the car seems to vibrate a bit and be somewhat noisy. I feel every bump! Is this standard with the size of the car or should I be concerned that there may be an issue because of the previous issue? Thanks for any help you can give me.

It is a short wheelbase car. What kinda car are you coming from? Mine is a lot bumpier compared to my 2012 Liberty. Another thing is the sh!tty tires that come from factory. Ive heard and see that changing to a better tire seems to help. If it tracks straight on a decently nice road then you probably have no worries. Good luck
Which tire was replaced? I assume it was on the front because you also mentioned the lower control arms. If the tire is a crappy tire, it can honestly be out of round. Also if the tire was not balanced as you said, it would also make the car shake. Under breaking the car will shake a lot more. If it possible, you might try to rotate your tires yourself and see if that makes any difference. It is a easy and quick test to see if it might be an issue. Having the messed up tire on the rear will make a big difference in driving feel because it is not on the drive wheels.
