tanabe lowering
The xd seems pretty high off the ground just stocked. Or maybe its just me haha but It looks like it would still get bump clearance even if you lowered it. Do you guys still have bump clearance? How many inches do you have off the ground? Help! :]
I have DF210's and i haven't bottomed out on anything yet. I haven't measured my clearance exactly though, so i can't tell you that part. but i will tell you is that after i lowered it, i didn't feel like i was in an SUV all the time, and now I'm the same height as everyone else.
I'm on 18X8's, 35 offset with the Tanabe DF210's and I rubbed...When I ran the same rims with the TRD springs I DID NOT rub...So, took a grinder to the inner fender and the rubbing problem is solved
I love the way the DF's ride...

runnin on tc wheels right now. 17x7 ii believe. df springs. like others mention. rear is pretty tucked in. fronts I think its 2 finger gap (not really liking that). I dont know about others but if I go through a speed bump with a rear passenger. it will sprape depending on the speed bump
. But just looking at it being low looks very nice. stock height is crazy high
i wanna get my xD lowered but i don't really wanna deal with the scraping haha. But it looks so nice lowered! grr >:] *sighs* i'll see what i'll do after Christmas :D hehe Thanks everyone!
I have Tein's its like a 1 inch finger gap with the stock 16's, now with tc wheels its a 1 and a half. And dont worry about scraping, you always hear it but it'll ever scratch your bumper.
Once i moved to the 15" BBS's however, that changed lol. speed tables are fine for the most part, but i avoid speed bumps like the plague. they dont seem to touch anything on the frame, but the exhaust will drag on every one of them.
Hopefully that gives you an idea of what youre getting into. id say as long as you stay close to the proper OEM tire size, youll be fine on DFs
Also you will have to be a little more careful on sudden/steep inclines and declines, taking them at an angle for the really drastic ones, but for the most part as long as you take things like that slowly, you should be just fine.
