i saw those the other day and was gonna make a post about it. $1170 is kinda steep for me, but tein makes good stuff. if they had s. tech or h. techs available, i probably would have gone that route instead of tanabe.

yeah true, but i don't want to be like my xb. do the spring route then after so long swap um out and pick up coilovers. so this time i pretty much now the availability to do coilovers i wanna go straight to coilovers.

good point, saves you money doing it that way. i have not seen anyone here with those coilovers. most everyone here is doing springs. i know someone was trying to get ksport to develop coilovers. i would take the teins over those, personally.

Oh my god those coilovers are expensive! They list them at $1170 on their site. For the basic coilovers! I didn't think they would be that pricey for the basics. Then again I've never looked at coilovers hehe.

LOL. don't know. gotta see what jon has to say. yeah that's a sacrifice. chels. then just buying springs. but then i get to adjust the height to my desire. of course not as luxurious as air bags like marshall.

yup the luxury of coilovers letting you adjust the height. at this moment the front still can adjust to drop another inch. and front if i take out the perch i can get another inch in the back.

Tein's prices recently were increased. The SS-P for tC was around $1400ish, now they are in the 1600 area. I bought the SS for my Solara in 03 for $1100 (listed at $1340).

They are height adjustable, but the seat bototm doesn't adjust, so preload may become an issue. A slight adjustment is fine though.

How stiff do the tiens ride? im looking to minimize body roll and improve responsiveness. xravexboix did an awesome write up of the tenabe springs and said they dont do much of anything. I need a suspension to keep me glued when im being stupid!

The spring rate on the Tein Basic is about 1.5x the Tanabe (so probably about 1.6x stiffer than stock). That's enough to do away with about 60-70% of the body roll when used in conjunction with the rear sway bar.

Tein Basic sounds like the way to go for you. Hopefully the Super Street model will be available. That is definitely the best street-friendly coilover I've used. It's a great balance.
