Default Tein S. Tech vs DF210

As the title implies, im just curious on personal experiences and what everyone thinks on the 2, and opinions on which is better.

I'm gathering that the height difference is roughly the same, and i can find both for roughly the same price, so other factors like stiffness and quality over time will help a lot. thanks for any input.

ps, if I'm wrong about height, do correct me. I'm trying to go low and get it done right the first time, lol.

I have ran the TRD's and currently run the Tanabe DF's and liked them both...However, the rear sits lower on the Tanabe's as opposed to the Tein's...The Tein's I believe are 2.2 all the way around where as the Tanabe's are 2.0 in the front and 2.2 in the rear...Because of this, if I was able to do it over I would get the Tein's...Hope this helps...

I had Teins before my coils they sit lower and have a softer spring rate than the DFs.

the teins are listed at 1.9 for both where im looking, so dunno. i noticed the different height for the DF210's. is it real noticeable for you? also, how stiff are they? i hear the teins are softish.

The reason it says 1.9 for the teins is beause thats for the Yaris...Lighter car, not as much drop...If you want an even drop, go with Tein's...

i had df before going coilovers. I would probably go with tiens cause i wanted a greater front drop. But I don't like soft part. I prefer stiff. so its debatable lol

i didnt think they were that much softer O_o. i dont want to be bouncing around lol.

the only plus i could see from a higher front end is to help with entrance angles. i actually started pondering that..

I have the teins and it's supposed to be 2 inch drop all around. I think they have added great stiffness without being rough. Car handles great.

I just put Teins on my car, had TRD's before. The rear sits lower than the front, can get one finger between wheel opening and top of tire in the front and can't get my finger in on the rear, hits side of tire. They have only been on for a little over a week so I'd say that they've settled as much as they are going to. The ride seems stiffer than the TRD's, but could just be me.

what are your wheel and tire specs? i thought the front would dip lower due to the engine weight. interesting

225-45-17 tires, wheels are 17x7, not sure of the offset.

ive got 205/50/17 on 17x7 with offset at 40. so youre saying the back tires tuck in? do you have added weight like subs or anything back there? just trying to get a mental picture, unless you dont mind putting a pic of the difference on here.

I'm not running spacers so the rears are inside the fender, have 2-12" subs in the rear. I'll get a pic of how it sits this week and post it up.

I think the issue with the rear is that the wheel well sits a bit lower in the rear. Might just be me though. I do not scrape with my teins.
