Default Any adjustments for different rim sizes?

Hey all,

Car newbie question...if I change out the factory 16" rim for 17" rims do I need to do anything to make sure they speedometer/odometer is still correct and accurate?

not as long as you get the appropriate tire size. for a 17" rim the recommended size is 205/50-17. that won't alter your speedo enough to have to fix it. its like 0.1% off. i have this setup on my car so i can vouch

here is a good calculator

if you put in the xd tire size on the left 195/60/16, then you put in a tire size on the right based on what size you want/is available etc you get the speedo differences and the fitment differences. i run a 215/45/17 which is about 2% smaller
