Offset and Adapters
So ive found a set of wheels i would like to use but not 100% if it will work. Here are the specs
Size 18x7.5
Bolt Pattern 5x112
Offset +51
Wheel Center bore 57.1
Now I know I will need adapters to run these wheels and I believe most adapters are in the 20-25mm range, and ill also need 60.1 to 57.1 hub centric rings. Now if I understand this offset correctly with the +51 its going to push the face of the wheel inwards towards the car, and with the adapters being 20-25mm it should push the face back outwards. Essentially I am thinking with the combo it should almost cancel each other out and fit almost stock. Do I have it all ___ backwards or am I on the right train of thought. Thanks alot!

Well, if the wheels are +51 and the adapters are +25 then the end result would be +26...That's pretty flush and depending how low you are you may run into rubbing issues...The +20 adapter would put you at +31 and still leave you pretty close to flush...Hope this helps...I wanna see pics of the rims
stick to 25mm+ adapters, that way the adapter clears your stock studs, and you dont have to worry about clearance issues from the mounting pad of the wheels.
i ran adapters on my xD for 8 months, 25mm with 17x9.5 +56. (ended being 17x9.5 +31), and my fitment was really good, slight poke , and stretched tires pulled everything together.
the specs you listed should work fine, your final setup will be 18x7.5 +26. you should still be inside of the fender. you may need to roll slightly, and depending on the size tire you run, you may run into further issues. (i think if you can go 205 or 215 at most on the 18, you'll be fine)
i recommend adaptec for your adapters.
they will hub center the adapter on both sides for you, so it hub centers to the scion, and to the wheel youre putting on. and you can go fully custom on whatever thickness you want etc, (just go higher than 25 like i said).
and they'll do it all for around 300$ shipped for the full set, they use very high quality studs, and the adapters themselves are all 6061 billet and all cnc drilled, centered and balanced.
