TC RIMS score! FYI

TC RIMS score! FYI
So last weekend I picked up some gen1 TC alloys for my xD. They were wrapped in new UHP Toyo Garity Winter tires. I didn't really have plans for winter tires, so I went into my local tire shop (Les Schwab) to get some pricing for 8 dismounts, TPMS transfer, and new rubber etc etc. They suggested getting a second set of rims and just leaving the TC alloys as-is. All fine except I just bought the TC rims and didn't want to go there.
The best part:
They said "you know, we have some scion take-offs in the back that have been sitting there for 3-4 years." Low and behold they were brand new gen1 TC alloys. Ha! They wanted $40 for them. So now I have a winter set and a summer set of TC alloys.
Long story short, go check with your local tire shop and see if they have any take-offs laying around.
Cheers!

You should get them wrapped at costco, they wont charge you arm and a leg to move the sensor over...we have auto relearn so they dont have to program it again (dont fall for that bull) AND if it doesnt we have the switch too...so you could do it your self. I went with a 215/50r17, if your go with a 45 you'll have a harder time finding a tire that meets the weight requirements
