im pretty sure that the kamanari hood wont work with a dezod kit, unless it has some sort of modification to the hood or something like that from what someone told me, but i could be wrong

give a set of hood spacers a try. you can get some cheap ones at lowes for 30 cents each.
than if your satisfied get a set of the more expensive ones. thats how a lot of nissan and
honda guys clear engine swaps.

good for clearance but also may be useful to give additional turbo cooling on the up side.

I would highly suggest not doing this, as the kaminari hood is not oem, its strength is already weaker then an oem hood...Putting spacers is not only a great way to make your car look rice as hell, But will also add stress to your hood latch..

Again i would spend some time searching as this has been answered.. I would just be careful who you take advise from..

hood spacers

Starts with hood spacers end up like this

If you have a kami hood you already have a great start! Great peice and works with dezod kit.. They have one on one of the employee cars!

Since you and the other guys who were to busy saying grow up can not use a search button.

Here

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...dezod+kaminari

It fits.. Most people use dynamat or some sort of heat wrap..

hood spacer is a no no.. if it doesnt fit without it, it might fit with those spacers but your turbo will still burn cf hood. As for I dezod kit, it should fit but make sure you put some turbo blanket and some heat insulating hood liner to protect the hood

im sure you could do a way with the oil line, maybe clocking the center section of the turbo would help

Had this happen on one of the tc's here with a top mount mani - had to change the oil fittings to make the oil line sit down lower on the CHRA also clocked the CHRA about 10-15* - before we figured it out his made a nice little notch on the inside of his cf hood lol.

i dont agree on the hood spacers but cf burn does worry me and the insulation is a great idea. i worked doing a lot of aircraft repair at ATS in Washington. something i have yet to see is someone using a high temp silicone reinforced fiberglass sheet.

they use it in the wheel wells of boeing and mcdonald douglass airplanes as a firewall supplement.

i have a patch of it about 1 yrd x 1yrd if anyone can use it? it is capable of withstanding 550℃ which is 1022 degrees Fahrenheit.

this crap is expensive but i will let it go for 20 bones.

The majority of posts in this thread have been deleted because the sole purpose of many of them was purely to attack other members and disrupt the thread. Those left are more or less on-topic.

The OP came here to get a simple question answered. Instead a group of thugs jumped him. There is no excuse for that and it is unacceptable behavior.

Now that the thread itself is pretty much cleaned up, I'm going through things again to see what warnings and infractions are needed.

Pitiful.
