Anyone have a step by step guide to replacing the headlight assembly in a 2008 xD? I've heard that you have to remove the front bumper cover to remove and reinstall the headlight assembly. I'm betting doing so requires removing plastic rivets of some kind. Anyone know what size? A video of someone actually doing this would be great. All I have found so far online are people failing at it.

I completed the replacement. You do have to at least loosen the bumper cover. There are four push pin rivets along the top and then whatever remains along the edge in the wheel well. I did not fully remove the bumper cover. With the top rivets out and the wheel well connectors out you can pull the edge away enough to get to the third screw. I used a screwdriver type socket on the two top screws, and a ratchet on the one that is covered by the bumper. The ratchet will get down there to loosen and tighten the screw without having to move the bumper cover very much. Tip: it is much easer to replace the headlamp bulbs while you have the headlight assembly loose. I replaced all of the bulbs in mine when doing the install.
