wide 13" tires

wide 13" tires
I have 175/50/13 slightly stretched on 13X8 wheels. I have another set that is a lot wider so Im hoping there is a 205/45/13 or 215/40/13 or similar. Any old school toyota or 510 gurus out there? I know Japan has another kind of measure for a tire... like 550R13 or some other profile markings. Any suggestions?

Boy, you're gonna have a tough time with those. 13s are almost extinct these days. The only other size I've seen in a long time besides your 175/50-13 - which TireRack.com carries - is a 205/60-13 (I have a BMW 2002). They're much wider than yours, but also a lot taller.

A 265? Why? A 265 is almost 10.5" wide! That's pushing it on an 8" wide wheel, not to mention - impossible? - to find in a 13" diameter. Sounds like somebody's yankin' yer chain.
A 215 is 8.5" wide, so mounting that on the 8" wheel is just about perfect.

There are way more crazier rims, the offroad guys have some 20" wide rims running stretch. But Im trying to go low profile.
Trust, me, folks like those at Luxury Bippu Style got some crazy rims, 18s over a foot wide is even more sick. Im just going for something strange.
