Default Yet another wheel question

I know I want a black wheel with a machined lip for my RS 4. I'm getting around to putting the TRD springs on. I know it's not a big drop either. My problem is I don't know if I want a 17" or 18" wheel. Any suggestions or pics would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks.

What kind of ride quality are you looking for and what are the roads like in your area?

If you're going with a TRD spring then I say bet the 18's and run a 215/40 tire. You're going to have a TON of wheel gap if you don't. If you run a 17 I sat go with a 215/45.

Here's a pic of mine on 18's with 225/40's and hotchkis springs. there is also a hugh speaker box in the back. These tires do not fit with out some kind of modification but the 215/40's are fine.

Default What if?

What if I drop 2" and put 2" bigger wheels on, does that set it back to stock hieght?
I'm really looking for a similar ride to the stock hieght with stock 15's. I am continuosly hearing from mechanics that any drop ruins the ride dramatically

Not true. I think the ride quality got better with the Hotchkis springs on. The Stock ride is a little stiff if you ask me. When you say a 2" bigger wheel do you mean 15" to a 17" or 2" bigger diameter?

Default droppin'

I meant 15" to 17". I might just wait and do coil overs in the future and just go for the rims for now.

As long as you get tires that are the same or close to the stock diameter then it will not sit at stock height unless you just don't lower it.
