Default Tire Warranties?

Do low profile tires carry any type of warranty? If so, can someone suggest a good 215/35/18 tire?

While looking under my xB for mounting places for my neon lighting, I notice one of my tires had a large nail in it. So, I decided to inspect my tires and notice that two of my tires have split open on the inside sidewalls. The tires are about 8 months old so I plan to return where I bought them and ask about a warranty. But, if I recall hearing somewhere, most low profile tires don't carry a warranty. Am I wrong?

Most tire manufacturer's offer a basic warranty on performance tires similar to the following:

Uniformity Warranty......... First 2/32" of wear
Replacement Program......... Free replacement first 2/32" of tread, then prorated to final 2/32" of tread.
Road Hazard................. None
