The title pretty much says it all? I can get a TRD rear sway bar for $180 installed? Is it really worth it? is there that much of a difference? Thanks

 

The rear sway is pretty much the most noticeable improvement that you can make to almost any vehicle. The TRD one is really good, we sell that as well. 180.00 installed is an excellent price. We also have the brand new Hotckis Heavy Duty rear sway. There is a HUGE improvement on this one over the last model Hotchkis and the TRD sway. We have it on our site for $128.95 here:

yes, very worth it, unless you like body roll in turns... i have the progress tech one, and it rocks.. you want something about the size of a quarter or bigger... the install takes about 5 min if you have a jack and a socket set.. it's very easy to do yourself if you are mechanically inclined, if not let someone else get dirty and do it for you and enjoy the ride!

The rear sway is friggin awesome.

just saw a post on another site (clubxb) for an h-brace group buy at $50 shipped.

Sounded good... is this as good as, or better than, a standard anti-sway bar?

 

It is just as good in my opinion it really strengthens the front end in cornering!

 

Ahh... ok, I thoought the h-brace was for the rear... shows what I know.

What if you went with an h-brace AND a rear anti-sway bar?

Progress Tech sway buy is best buy. Definately on med to hard corning, notice a difference. Even w/my stock 15" tires. Front in my opinion does not do anything.

Front STRUT bar does nothing H-Brace does wonders for 1/3 the cost

 

Last i heard, the Progress rear sway was the largets around at 22MM thick! I have one, the GF has one .. her bro has one and we all love it. Installation is a breeze with a wrech, a socket and a frined to help hold it in place.

I just picked up the new Hotchkis bar and it's a really nice peice. I love it.

 

Cool, how is the install? I know with the Progress the have both nuts welded onto a plate making the install so much easier.

Any rear sway bar is worth it. Greatly improves the handling.

 

I'm running the Whiteline bar and it still brings a smile to my face when doing a cloverleaf.

 

Put on a Progress Tech 10 days ago that I bought second hand. It makes a big difference.

The install is easy enough, even without the flange nuts with plates. Whoever put the bar on the first car (the seller said it was a dealer tech) mismatched fine and coarse metric bolts and nuts. I only had one flange with a plate. I used a bit of tape to hold the deeper nut and a washer to my box wrench and the job took about 1/2 hour tops. The little baby is now quite sweet on the cloverleaf.

 

Just had the Hotchkis 24mm rear swaybar put on.

It works great, and has really reduced the body roll and tightened up the handling on corners.

 

i need one since my rear air bag system uses one valve. gets a little soggy sometimes.
