Default i need help with springs

alright i just got my tanabe df210s and put them on with a friend who did his and a friends. we did the back no problem. then we did the front left fine then we get to the drivers side, we pull out the shock and the ruber boot wasnt on top of the spring but riped and under the coil of the spring ripped. so we took it off and put the new spring on with the ripped rubber part and put it back on and i drove around that night and on my way home it started to make a clicking noise everytime i hit any kind of bump but it only started the last 1/2 mile home. i dont no if the boot(rubber) part moved down so the spring is hitting the top metal part or if somthing is rong and when we used the spring conpressor to take it off the spring came out of the hosing and i hope it didnt slide out again so if anyone can help me out please let me know thanks and ill take a look tomorrow

Check the top bolt on the strut.....I think 17mm it may have gotten loose after the springs started to settle.
