Default ? for TEIN Basic Owners

I've had TEIN Basics on my xB for about 6 months now.

The rear started to make noise. I checked everything out to make sure it was all tight and proper. The noise never went away. The best way to describe the sound is that it sounds like I replace all my rubber bushing w/ polyurethane bushings and didn't grease them. A lot of creaking when I am just driving down the road. Pretty annoying.

Anyone else have this problem with the rear?

I'm going to double check the rear again this weekend. Clean it out and make sure it all looks okay. Also, make sure everything is tight too.

Thanks!

i had a similar sounding problem, but i don't have the basics...i thought it was coming from the rear, and i checked and rechecked everything, even went throughh the trouble to tighten every bolt that was under the entire vehicle.....well it turns out to be the fronts and the bolt under the dust cap on mine was loose....almost hand loose.....i tightened it up and my noises went away....the way you describe the noise was exactly what i would use to describe the noise...check that bolt and see if it fully tightened and repost results...

Thanks I'll give it a shot. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the rear though. When I go over speed bumps, and the rear come down, it makes the noise. The front is nice and quiet. I'll go ahead and check those bolts out as well while I'm at it. Thanks again.

Front struts were tight. No problem there.

Everything in back was fine. Blew out all the dirt and checked to make sure everything was installed properly.

I sprayed silicone spray on the bushings for the rear arm/beam, and it really quieted it down. If that's what I was hearing, I am suprised.. I would have figured there would be other instances of it. I did all this 2 weeks ago, and the noise hasn't came back.
