Default 2008 Xmas Giving Events

Hey guys, I have made the difficult decision that I will not be organizing the 2008 Xmas Toy Drive event. Last year took a LOT out of me and left me a little frustrated... and I am also overwhelmed with other projects at the moment, leaving me very little time to properly administer the event. I would like our members to post other Xmas giving events in this topic so that our community can still make some large differences in lives that might otherwise go untouched. Thank you for understanding. -- Darren

Thank you for posting this up and encouraging members to seek out various outlets for giving this season. Toys for Tots is always a good idea. Another option would be to locate a local food bank. Car clubs should take the oportunity to organize their group efforts to help others enjoy this holiday season.

Darren, could you please fix the title topic to read Christmas instead? Xmas just sounds bad. He is the reason for the season afterall. Thanks

It's unfortunate that we won't be doing it this year, weren't we the biggest contributer last year (or am I thinking of something else)?

Yeah, we pretty much kicked everyone else's ___. Maybe one of the Supers could take over the event and still run it .

If you are in the Houston Area, I am putting together a small carshow and toy drive. Bring an unopened toy to be entered in a raffle. The prize is still yet undetermined, but I am trying get a 42" Plasma TV to give depending how good of a crowd I can draw to the store.
