Default Please recommend a good, quiet tire...

I'm getting new wheels but they don't come with tires. What's a good tire to go on Konig Minuz? I'm getting them in 15x6.5, stock wheel size anyway. I'm not looking for performance tires. I don't corner too fast, not to say I drive like a granny. I occasionally enjoy some spirited driving. Otherwise, I'm commuting to the sound of those noisy stock goodyears on my steelies.

Recommendations, anyone?

BTW, I live in the bay area, california, if that matters at all...

Thank you!

You can read my post just a few down from yours here, but I'm extremely happy with the set of Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S I just put on mine for the winter. VERY quiet, extremely smooth riding, and great in the wet!

+1 the Pilot Exaltos are great tires. Something that might fall into a smaller budget:: Look at the Falken 912. They are a great tire for your money, they are an asymetrical all season tire. They will ride quiet for you and be quite comfortable.

Also look at the Pirelli P6 Four seasons tire.

Thanks a bunch for the recommendations, guys. The Falken 912's fit my budget more than the Pilot Exaltos do, though I'd grab those Pilots if I had a bit more money. Seems I'll be grabbing those.

Question, though - How do I go about getting rims from one website and tires from another site, then getting the mounted and balanced? Will it cost a lot?

when you order your tires we can suggest an installer in your area if you would like. We will give you their phone number so you can call them and get a quote for installation. Alot of people take them to Walmart or costco. For the best installation take them to one of our store if you have one near you.

If we aren't the lowest price delivered we will match the competition. I believe Vulcan tire charges shipping.

Yes, We match delivered prices. Vulcan tire charges shipping. You can call anyone here, tell them you want to see if we can price match a competitor. Tell them the competitor and give them your zip code. They will go to vulcans site find the delivered price and see if we aren't already cheaper. (Usually we are.) I just went to their site and put my zip code in. They are delived to AZ for $55.75 each. Our online price for a 195.60.15 is $61.00 each but we are also giving you $25.00 off instantly when you buy 4 tires or 4 wheels this month which means our delivered price is $54.75 right now.

1.888.459.4080 - Any one of our sales agents will do this for you.

(We also offer the best warranties in the business.)

X2 these will be my next set of tires in a 195/60R15. Nice and quiet over the stock GYs.
