Default NEW WHEELS! (yes...again)

OK, OK, so I know I've got a sickness.
I specifically took off the Borbets a couple of months ago and bought a new set of Michelins for my factory alloys to use as "winter tires".
The Michelins turned out to be awesome - extremely quiet, extremely smooth-riding, handle decent, and have been incredible in the torrential rains we've been having lately.
So, as usual, I'm cruising websites (my first mistake!) and come across a really different, kind of striking wheel design I hadn't seen before...

Not exactly what I would have gone out shopping for, but the more I looked at them, the more I liked 'em. I really liked the fact that they were different, and I hadn't seen them before. On top of that, I've had Konigs before and really liked the quality, and I got to thinking that somehow the design would go with the Von Dutch style pinstripes I've got...
So, yes, of course, I pulled the trigger. I must have done it just in time, because I talked to 7 shops (that supposedly carried them) before I found one that had stock! He tells me there were very few allocated, and I probably got the last four in SoCal. I don't know about all that, but I'm hoping that at least I won't be seeing them at every street corner! The wider width really plumped out the new Michelins, too:

Probably not everybody's cup of tea here, but I'm kinda diggin' them! (Especially the "finished" center cap!)

I like them. My favorite part is that they are very "unassuming". Nice and low key.

Props!

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

You guys are probably right, but technically they were bought to mount the new 15" Michelins I had just gotten a few weeks ago as "winter tires".
I've already got my "hot" tires and wheels, these were intended to be understated and "milder".

And I'll be keeping the Borbets for when things eventually dry out around here...

Daniel, got to hand it to ya man. You always find some cool looking wheels. And yes, you are turning into quite a wheel *****. I'm jealous.
I'm thinking of painting the steelies silver and running the caps, chrome lugs and trim rings. Got any pics of what that might look like? I want something different to run 15s but can't afford new wheels right now.

Thanks, Jeff.
I think I need to get a big white t-shirt and have the letters WW stenciled onto it in bright red (Wheel *****)!

As for the steelies, they're not silver, but here's some old shots of mine I've posted before with chrome rings, caps, and nuts:
