Default Tanabe nf210

So I finally got a chance to install my Tanabe nf210 lowering springs on the Xd today. Honestly the hardest part was finding out how to get at the 17mm nut on the top of the front struts. Theres a rubber piece which the nut sits in and that piece splits in half with a little gentle prying with a knife blade or thin screwdriver. I also had to cut down my 6mm allen key to fit under the windsheild wiper housing. I don't like taking plastic parts apart if I can help it. Some tab always ends up breaking off. The front springs took about an hour a side. (I like to take my time) The rears were cake --- 15 minutes per side. I bought a spring compressor for the fronts but I could have done the job without it. I just didn't want to get it all apart and find out I needed it. It was only $30 @ auto zone --- not too expensive. One thing I will say for anyone who wants to do it themselves is that a second jack is essential for lining bolt holes up during reassembly.

hey, im getting the same springs, how are they handling now? did you need to get shocks too?

You do not need new shocks...Do not waste your money...For example, I ran a 2" drop on my Gen1 xB for close to 70,000 miles on stock shocks and never had a problem and they didn't need replacing...I ended up selling the car so I don't know what happened after that but trust me, you do not need anything but the lowering springs themselves...If anyone tells you that you need something else they are just trying to make money from you...
