Default MobileHID in ANZO headlights(modded cutoff)[UPDATE PG2!!!!!]

MORE PICTURES ON PG. 2

EDIT: better pictures comings soon

So we all know how dakine left for the Marines. Well he was the one that got me these headlights. So I guess Paul and 05_trd_tc (didnt want to say your real name) got together to mod the cutoff shield on these anzos.

I order an HID kit from cliff a few days ago and it came it yesterday. Install it this morning after class...and voila. 6000k yummy

THESE ARE THE HALOS

HIDs on

Wall shot (30ft.)

Garage shot

My tC for safe measure

Now before everyone starts to flame on me....

I know these are not HID projector quality. Im planning to retro so e46 projectors into them over summer.

The foreground lights up pretty well on the roads. I havent tried to put the HID bulbs in the other way to see how it lights up the road yet...ill do it tomorrow.

The beam pattern isnt as wide as it the OEM reflectors used to be. Pretty disappointing.

Do you guys think the flare on the left side of the beam is going to blind people?

COMMENTS PLEASE! GOOD AND BAD ONES

I think HIDs in stock ANZOs are HORRIBLE. Atleast with my modded cutoff...it doesnt blind people

That looks a lot better than HIDs in an unmodded Anzo headlight.

im sure he'll find a way to get on SL somehow.. lol

that cutoff wouldnt be as bad if it didnt have the light flaring above the defined cut off.

HERE ARE STOCK ANZOS with HID

Actually those are stock Anzos with halogens in them (that's my car before I got rid of the Anzos). But stock Anzos with HID's and an unmodded cutoff are kind of all over the place. Yours on the other hand are actually pretty damn good. How did they fix the cutoff?

First off. Im sorry for not asking to use your picture. Atleast I hosted it on my own photobucket. hahhaha

To mod the cutoff, you have to bake it open and alter the cutoff shield. What paul and 05_trd_tc did was screw a plate which added to the shape of the cutoff shield making it more sharp and defined.

Chime in for me 05_trd_tc.

However, they did screw up on resealing the passenger side. I had to redo it. ATV sealant ftw and the messiness

It's ok man! I could care less who uses my pictures...I don't freak out when someone uses another's pictures....unlike some people in other threads on SL.

So they modded the cutoff huh? Kind of like this?

well what you can do it this...buy a sheet of metal and attach it to the back of the original heat shield forming a new cutoff with out having to cut anything..like so..

this is the cutoff when the new shield is straight

and this is how it looks when you slant it

Don't "hate" me for asking this...But I have HID's in the reg stock housing...Now I was thinking is it "possible" to make some kinda of CutOff for the housing too????.....There wouldn't so much wide glare going on...

Is it just Not possible?....
