Default TC TRD springs installation price

I called the dealer to find out how much they would charge to install the TRD lowering springs on my TC (found them cheap at trdsparks.com). They said $600!!! Is it just me or is that ridiculous! I have never had any suspension work done so I don't know, but that seems crazy - Is that reasonable or are they trying to rip me off?!

that is to high, when I asked about my TRD coilovers on my matrix they only said $500...and that was a full coil system. so 600 for just springs is crazy, go find your local rice/bling shop and have them do it for like $100.

I just called a local Merchant's Tire and they said they could do it for $350 (including an alignment) which is based on the local Toyota's service dept estimate of 5 hours. I guess I will save up and let Merchant's do it. Man dealer service dept's are rip offs!!!

At the scion central here in northern cali I charge peeps $150.00 for two hours of labor and the shop next to me charges $95.00 for alignment. Maybe you can use that against them, because over here in cali everything is expensive. Except for the Scion Central

I wished I lived closer to CA - I would use your shop! I think it will end up being cheaper than he quoted me at Merchant's. I told the guy that 5 hours was ridiculous and he agreed. He said they would obviously lower the price for the actual time it takes. He was just giving me a high estimate. I called another dealership here just to see if they compare and they wanted $580 for the install. Amazes me!

Sorry to hear that you are in a fix. Just remember to have them time it, and you should too. Make sure you don't get over charged and see if there are other tC memebers in your area, maybe they know a good place.

if it was a full coilover setup, those things are easier and faster to install than springs only.
