I did some searching and couldnt find what I was looking for. Im going to be ordering the 5 axis lip kit next week and got a paint quote for $450. Ill probably be doing the install myself because they were trying to charge another $400 for install. Has anybody installed this themselves and how hard was it? Also Im dropped on s-techs and have 18's on the car. You think it would be crazy low?

no the 5axis kit doesn't come painted. the kit fits perfectly (so i hear and i would imagine) so the install should be a breeze

 

Is it just double sided tape and screws? I know it comes with instructions but I was just wondering as a kind of heads up.

 

yep tahts all it should be throw the car on jackstands and throw it on

 

I might give it a shot. I just dont want to spend 995 for the kit then another 450 for paint just to screw it up when i install it. that would suck.

 

best thing you can do then is wait like 30 days till the paint hardens a bit then tape around the edges in that green tape then see how the fit is and decide where you want to apply double sided tape and where you want to screw things in, then you should have a better idea and be able to install it easier

From my understanding the install is straight forward and no fitment issues.......let paint cure........use painters tape........get 3M tape for the install........lots of it.........better to have too much than not enough........and have help.........4 hands are better than 2.

 

will do. I just got my anzo headlights in the mail yesterday and I should be getting my wheels on monday tenzo r dc-6 version 2 18x8 with 35 offset. black with polished lip (yes very much done but i still like the way it looks). Now i gotta order my eyelid overlay from bluebat.

Get the lip clear bra'd it'll help incase you hit something and can't avoid it.

 

^Thats a good idea........the front is pretty low to ground with it..........I had to put off till summer on gettign mine..........just spent the bank on rims and tires as well..........and what is left is going intothe suspension.......

 

thats an expensive a$$ lip kit, nvm. ill take the OEM instead.

yeah, about $1400 for a lip kit, i'll take the cf rs1 kit for half that price

 

alright well I just ordered it yesterday. Came out to $1,125 with shipping. Now just gotta wait. Got the wheels on the car and its looking good. No pictures though because the car is dirty dirty dirty and we are in water restriction so I cant wash the car yet. Ill keep this post updated once I get the lip kit.
