Consumer Reports' "Best of the Best" vehicles list, which is derived from "Good Choices", includes vehicles that have performed well in CR's road tests and have had several years of better-than-average reliability according to survey respondents. Models from Acura, BMW, Buick, Honda, Infiniti, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Nissan, Pontiac, Porsche, Scion, Subaru, Toyota, and Volvo appear on the "Best of the Best" list.

They actually liked the new xB in many ways.
I prefer the original much more.
The issue may come out soon with the best cars list.

Here's some noteworthy news, not sure how to properly report this so it'll end up on the news board, but it's a good read, and true.

What's there to applaud? I just bought my tC four months ago... I hope the brand can stay strong until I at least pay it off!

I wrote a little about how the newer models kind of mellow out the brand in my blog about a month or so ago. I didn't think about the fact that there is a lot more competition in the subcompact market now, but most of those other cars honestly aren't as cool, and most of them aren't as good of a deal IMO than our Scion siblings, even the new ones. Hopefully this wakes up the new staff at Scion though...

The 04-06 xB made it on a list of the best used cars to buy based on good reliability and
a low amount of problems per 100 vehicles.

It's one of the best for sure.
