Ive got the rims, now im looking for quality tires. im going to get 215/45/17s. Im only going to run them in the spring/summer. So i know what i want, but Im really not sure about the brand. Who makes high quality tires? Anyone with good/bad experiences with a certain tire. Lower price would be nice, but its not my main concern. Ive searched, but i really havent found an answer specific to my needs.

Falken is wack! Ive had 4 friends run brand new Falkens and blow on them within 1 month with no stretch either.

I've been running Kumho 275/40-17 Ecsta ASX's on my other car for almost 3 years/15K miles and have had no problems, when the factory tires need to be replaced on the xB I'll be getting Kumho's for it too.

BFGoodrich, Toyo and Nitto are all brands I have liked. Hated the one set of Kumho I owned because the wore like shiz.

 

Falken has the best deals at the moment and I have ran them on both of my Scions with no problems at all. Toyo is another tire you may want to look at also, but for the price Falken's are it.

 

Kumho's I've been running them for many years on many different cars

 

BFG's are my personal favorite... Falkens are nice for performance aspects but they are a soft tire if you use the ZE all-weathers. the FK450's are pretty freakin nice though.

 

Toyo if you can afford them otherwise go with Kuhmos.

I run the Ventus HRII and love them. They are a HanKook tire.

I also recommend the Yokohama AvidH4.

 

nitti neogens 215 X 40 X 17 here. 35 so far with another 5 or 10 to go. 25k is on the interstate though. will probably go nitto's again but want to go a little 'bigger'. see new post this topic.
